Homer United Methodist Church has a parish nurse. She helps people understand medical issues and medications . Monthly blood pressure checks are taken during fellowship time the first Sunday of each month.  Homer United Methodist Church  regularly hosts blood  donation drives sponsored by the Community Blood Services of Illinois.
