Hopewell United Methodist Church welcomes and encourages children to come to worship. It is by watching worshiping adults that children learn to worship. Children’s Choirs, Children’s Sermons, and Children’s bulletins are all ways in which we say to the child, "Welcome, we’re glad you are here!"

For a week in the summer, children and youth of all ages come together to learn about Jesus and make new friends. A new theme and curriculum is chosen every year and caring teachers and helpers do a terrific job in helping children leave the week of VBS saying one thing,
"I can’t wait until VBS next year!"

In early spring, children ages 2-5th grade and their parents came out for an Easter Extravaganza! In the Family Life Center, children walked around and visited different "booths" which were designed to help children experience the Easter story. The morning started with a short age-appropriate worship service for children using songs, puppets and drama.

Every summer approximately 70 Hopewell kids attend a week at Camp Innabah. Full scholarships are available. Children come away from their experience at camp excited because of the great time they had, but also "changed" as they experience growth in their faith development. Brochures are available in late winter with further information and registration materials.
