Hope, Indiana

"A Surprising Little Town"

Hope, Indiana, was founded in 1829 by Martin Hauser and a group of Moravians. The Moravians don't let us forget this, even though the Methodist Circuit Riders weren't far behind! The town is fiercely independent, surprisingly influencial, and very caring - an interesting place to visit and a great place to live. The people of the Hope United Methodist Church are quite active and visible in community life, and they make us proud. There are numerous places in the community where we can be found, and here are just a few places to look.
The Hope Bike Ride, started by Paul Ashbrook, involves virtually every segment of the community, and is a good demonstration of how people in Hope are able and willing to work together. If you are a bicyclist, you will want to check out this link, and this event.

The Hope Ministerial Association meets every Tuesday 8 a.m. at the First Baptist Church. The first Tuesday of every month they meet at the Filling Station Restaurant. All people involved in ministry leadership are welcome to attend
