How to Make a Palm Reed Cross

A Palm Sunday special event at Hope is instruction on how to make a cross from a palm reed. Here's how we do it:

	Make a crease in the reed about 4 inches from the bottom, bending it back. Make a 90 degree bend to the left where you want the crossbar to be.
	Fold the reed over to make the crossbar. Fold it back to the center to complete the crossbar. Bend it up and to the left at a 45 degree angle.
	Wrap the reed around the diagonal.
	Wrap the reed across the center. Wrap it around the other diagonal.
	Thread the end through the center section and you're done!
