Mission Team Site Information for
Talanga Central United Methodist Church
(tah-LAHN-gah sehn-TRAHL)

Area of Honduras:  Located in the town of Talanga (tah-LAHN-gah), about an hour’s drive north of Tegucigalpa (teh-goo-see-GAHL-pa), the capital city.  This congregation currently worships in part of the rented Ministerial House in town. Travel time from Tegucigalpa airport to Talanga :  1.5 hours

Preferred airport in Honduras (destination city): Tegucigalpa

Accommodations:  Teams stay at the La Fuente Hotel

The hotel is very basic but clean. Team members share a room with 2/3 people. Each room has a private bath with a shower (usually cold water). Linens and towels are furnished. The rooms have a fan and color TV. Phone service is NOT available in the rooms. Electricity is 110V, 60 cycle--the same as the US.  Purified water is provided by the hotel for drinking and brushing your teeth.

Meals:  Breakfast and dinner will be served at a local restaurant.  Lunch will be served at the worksite.
