Ministry
at La Cofradia
Pastor Ramon Lara and his wife, Sandra Licona, have been serving this
congregation since its inception in 1998.
In July of 2001, the congregation was received in its entirety into
the work of the Methodist Church in Honduras. In
January of 2003 the church celebrated its 5th anniversary.
This congregation, the "Fuente de Luz" (Source of
Light) Church, is located in the "La Cofradia" neighborhood of
the city of Danli, about two hours travel by vehicle on a paved road east
of Tegucigalpa.
The
congregation of 150 members currently meets in rented space.
Property has been puchased on which to build a church sanctuary and
construction began in January, 2003.
The congregation has saved some funds on their own toward
construction.
