 Other comments on this site:
Monte Carmelo is in the cooler mountains, so bring one extra layer (like a sweatshirt) for cool mornings and evenings.

Cultural considerations:  See the general cultural awareness page on this website.

Sight-seeing from this site (Optional):  (team pays extra cost)

Valle de Angeles—A quaint artisan village about 45 min-1 hour away from Tegucigalpa in the mountains.  Teams can buy crafts in the many local shops, have a typical lunch, walk around town, enjoy live music that is offered in the   plaza on most weekends.  Teams pay for their meals during sight-seeing time, and the extra transportation cost, if any (contact UMVIM coordinator for costs).  This a trip that often is best for a Sunday for team who are staying at Monte Carmelo.
