Covenant Relationships for Missionary Salary Support

This is a way of linking your congregation to specific United Methodist missionaries in a relationship of mutual commitment.  Your congregation covenants to support a missionary or missionary couple with prayer and financial support.  The missionary covenants to send a newsletter, to visit Covenant churches during  itineration, and to pray for the congregation and the many ways it is in mission, locally and globally. 

The amount of a “Full Covenant” is $3 per congregation member per year, or a total of $2500—whichever is the lesser amount.  This can be an exciting goal for a congregation to raise money for, budget for, or both.  A Covenant Relationship can be an eye-opening opportunity for a congregation to think more broadly about what mission is and how God calls Christians in this global age we live in.
