The 2006 Honduras Consultation

A very successful gathering of Honduran and North American United Methodist took place for two days in Austin, Texas, during the month of October, 2006.  Participants met to share information on the United Methodist Church in Honduras and United Methodist Volunteers-In-Mission activities in the country.  Information was shared on medical missions, the church construction program and youth mission opportunities.  There was plenty of time for informal networking and building new friendships, as well as worship and celebration.

Pastor Roberto Pena reports to the Consultation on the state of the church in Honduras. Bishop Galvan responds to questions in a small group setting. Rev. Lyssette Perez from the General Board of Gobal Ministries addresses the group. Pastors Roberto Pena and Luis Soto prepare Honduran items for sale.
Ron Davidson, UMVIM Coordinator for Honduas, speaks to the group. Small groups met for special interest topics. There was plenty of time for networking between participants.
