Ministry
at Escuapa
Escuapa is a rural area southeast of Danli, about an hour and 15 minutes
from Danli by vehicle. The
community, destroyed by flooding of the San Francisco River during
Hurricane Mitch, was relocated to an area on a bluff with a beautiful view
high above the river. A
church sanctuary has been built and there is a small wooden building that
serves as a temporary shelter, clinic, etc.
There is no electricity at this site.
Efraim Sosa is a Lay Leader from Danli serving this community and
congregation. There is
currently a public health service building being constructed directly
across the road from the church by the Honduras Ministry of Health.
