 Ministry at Danli Central

Danli is a city of around 140,000 people, 2 hours east of Tegucigalpa by paved road.  The pastor at the Danli Central Methodist Church is Rev. Roberto Pena, GBGM missionary from Puerto Rico.  The Lay Leader is Luis "Tito" Soto.

This congregation was started in 1998 by evangelists and pastors Gary and Amparo Garay.  The church began meeting in a rented building in Danli.  Before building a church sanctuary of their own, this congregation helped start and fund the establishment of mission congregations in Escuapa and La Jagua.

The church dedicated a new church building in May, 2002.  There is a 3-bedroom mission house next to the church building, with Sunday School classrooms built behind.
