The Caracas neighborhood of Catuche

These are photographs taken in the Caracas neighborhood of Catuche, which although it suffered tremendous physical damage, experienced fewer deaths than similar neighborhoods in Caracas, given its level of community organization, something begun by church activists a decade earlier. Some of the photos show a visit to Catuche by President Chavez, who cited the neighborhood as an example for other communities in Venezuela.
