The Methodist Church was the first in Holcomb, Missouri. It was established in 1877, just a little south of town. This building was destroyed in 1888 by a wind storm and was rebuilt that same year on land donated by John P. Taylor, where the Holcomb UMC is now located. A condition of the deed was that as long as the land is used for church purposes it would belong to the Methodist Church, otherwise it would go to the Taylor heirs. The organization in Malden is credited for assisting with rebuilding funds. In 1925, this building was replaced with a brick one, which stood until a fire in June 2001. The Holcomb UMC met in the local school cafeteria until our present building was opened in March 2002.  Based on available records, our church was served by the following pastors.
