The "Mighty Moller" Pipe Organ
Trinity United Methodist church is blessed with one of the finest pipe organs in the country. The organ was originally built and installed in 1947 by the Moller Pipe Organ Company of Hagerstown, Maryland. In 1987, the Schantz Organ Company of Orrville, Ohio completely rebuilt the entire instrument, retaining all the original Moller pipe work but modernizing the console and replacing all the leather in the wind chests. The organ is played from a beautiful 4-manual console. It is made up of 89 ranks, and has over 6,300 pipes in three separate areas of the Sanctuary. This is a large organ, with a vast, rich tonal pallette. From its tiniest, softest voices to its huge, thundering, floor-shaking,
full voiced roar, this "Mighty Moller" is used often in His service. When the organ was rebuilt, the console was made moveable. This allows the console to be out of the way during worship services, or rolled into a
"Concert Position" at center stage for special organ concerts. This beautiful organ is played every Sunday by Jeffrey Trimble,
organist at Historic Trinity United Methodist Church.| HOME | OUR PURPOSE | CHRISTIAN EDUCATION | MUSIC MINISTRY |
