And God Said, "No"
I asked God to take away my pride and God said, "No."
He said it was not for Him to take it away, but for me to give it up.
I asked God to heal my disease and God said, "No."
He said, "Your Spirit is whole, your body is only temporary.
Through your afflictions you will learn to help others who also suffer."
I asked God to grant me patience and God said, "No."
He said that patience is a by-product of tribulation.
It isn't gtaned, it's earned.
I asked God to give me happiness and God said, "No."
He said that He gives blessings, happinesis up to me.
I asked God to spare me pain and God said, "No."
He said, "Suffering draws you apart from worldly cares
And bringsyou closer to Me."
I asked God to make my spirit grow and God said, "No."
He said that I must grow on my own,
But He wil prune me to make me fruitful.
I asked God if He loved me and God said, "Yes."
He said, "I gave my only Son who died for you.
You will be in heaven someday because you believe."
I asked God to help me love others as much as He loves me and God said,
"Ah...Finally, you understand..."

I'm Spending Christmas With Jesus Christ This Year
I see the countless Christmas trees
Around the world below.
With tiny lights, like heaven's stars
Reflecting on the snow.
The sight is so spectacular,
Please wipe away that tear,
For I'm spending Christmas
With Jesus Christ this year.
I hear the many Christmas songs
That people hold so dear.
But sounds of music can't compare
With the Christmas choir up here.
For I have no words to tell you
The joy their voices bring.
For it is beyond description
To hear the Angels sing.
I know how much you miss me,
I see the pain inside your heart.
For I'm spending Christmas
With Jesus Christ this year.
I can't tell you of the splendor
Of the peace here in this place.
Can you just imagine Christmas?
With our Saviour, face to face?
I'll ask Him to light your spirit
As I tell Him of you love.
So then pray one for another
As you lift your eyes above.
So please let your hearts be joyful
And let your spirit sing,
For I'm spending Christmas in heaven
And I'm walking with the King!

Drinking From A Saucer
I've never made a fortune, And it's probably too late now
But I don't worry about that much. I'm happy anyhow.
As I go along life's journey, I'm reaping better than I sowed.
I'm drinking from my saucer, Cause my cup has overflowed.
Ain't got a lot of riches, Sometimes the goings rough.
But I got a kid that loves me. That makes me rich enough.
I just thank God for His blessings, And the mercy He has bestowed.
I'm drinking from my saucer, Cause my cup has overflowed.
And I remember times when things went wrong, And my faith got a little thin.
But then all at once the dark clouds broke, And the old sun broke through again.
So, Lord, help me not to gripe About the tough rows I have hoed.
I'm drinking from my sacucer, Cause my cup has overflowed.
And if God gives me the strength and courage When the way gets steep and rough.
I won't ask for other blessings, I'm already blessed enough.
And may I never be too busy To help another bear his load.
Then I'll keep drinking from my saucer, Cause my cup has overflowed.
