Y2K, K2Y, 2YK, - you know the computer 2000 glitch! The news media and others may cause a panic similar to the weather forecaster calling for snow. Everyone rushes to the store to stock up.
Proverbs 27:12 says: "A prudent man forseeth the evil, and hideth himself; but the simple pass on, and are punished.
It might be prudent to have a week's supply of canned food on hand each winter because it will usually snow.
Similarly it might be prudent anytime especially in winter as well as January 1st, 2000. Some bottled or canned water in case of a water main break might be helpful. Some food in case you are snowed in for a week. An extra lamp or candles will do well when a care hits a pole. Some dollars and cents in case of an emergency on a rainy day is always helpful. Especially sense not to panic no matter what the situation when it is beyond your control.
A week or two of a simpler life of bygone days probably wouldn't hurt most of us.
Undoubtedly the problem and consequences of the early computer guru's of only using two digits will continue to be magnified. Panic at the last minute will only cause greater problems just like empty shelves before a snow storm.
Jesus often said, "Fear not!" So I say to you in the name of Jesus, "Fear not!" Do not let others send you into a dither.
