In the quiet of the morning, before Worship
Service, Fellowship Hall is nearly ready to receive those who have
purchased tickets for the Soup-er Bowl Luncheon.

Chefs Ira Ornstein
and Alida Preciado are busy in the
kitchen ensuring a tasty outcome.
The event was well received by the hungry
congregation and friends. The UMW announces more tickets sold than
in previous years. In fact they ran out of tickets and setup
additional chairs to handle the requests. The final count is only an
estimate: 120 in attendance. The diners had the opportunity to
sample from fourteen unique and delicious soups, as often as they
wished. In addition to raising $1082 for mission projects, through
the Caring Ministry, containers of soup were delivered to
congregants who, due to health concerns were unable to attend. Many
people made this successful. The UMW appreciates all the
contributions made for Mission and Ministry.
