In all its red, white, and blue glory, this
month's bulletin board pays tribute to our nation's independence and
freedom. Thanks to Jenni Hendrix and the Highland Park youth
for such a patriotic remembrance!
On
Wed. June 28th, a work team from Highland Park helped on a gleaning
project with other UM Churches in the Dothan District.
Altogether, over 3,000 pounds of tomatoes were picked and
donated to the Dothan Area Food Bank to help feed the areas needy.
HP’s official pickers and grinners were: Gerald, Jenni
Hendrix, Sonja Mack, June Tallman, Alex and Avery Farmer, Amanda and
Emily Malone, and Colleen Peterson. In
the pictures in the newsletter, you will find Highland Parkers hard
at work picking tomatoes, resting after a job well done, and just
having an all-around good time!
