Message From The Pastor

Jesus, Name Above All Names

We all love music. We have favorite songs that have come to mean a lot to us and remind us of special times in our lives. As followers of Jesus, we also have favorite songs that have touched our hearts or helped us to better understand who Cod is and all that He has done for us. These songs may be time-honored hymns, contemporary Christian music or praise choruses. One of my favorite songs is the simple chorus, "Jesus, Name Above All Names". I especially love the different names and titles that this song attributes to Jesus. Not only do these titles remind us of who Jesus is, they also tell us of the great things He has done and would like to do in our lives. Beginning this past Sunday, June 29, and running through the end of July, I want to spend each Sunday looking at each of the different names for Jesus that are described in "Jesus, Name Above All Names". The schedule of messages is as follows

June 29 "Beautiful Savior"
July 6 "Glorious Lord"
July 13 "Emmanuel, God is with Us"
July 20 "Blessed Redeemer"
July 27 "Living Word"

As we focus on the person of Jesus this month, I invite you to come to worship each Sunday ready to learn more about who Jesus is and what He has done. Most of all, I invite you to experience His love and power as you put your trust in Him and commit your life to following Him.
