Hibernia United Methodist Church collects items throughout the year at the church. Items can be dropped off Tuesday through Friday from 9:00 am to noon and on Sunday from 9:00 am to 11:30 am. Items can also be dropped off during regular hours at the West Brandywine Township Police Department, East Brandywine Township Building and the Atglen Borough Township Building. We ship at least once per month to the Chaplains we have on our list in Iraq and Afghanistan. This mission of the church has been going on since 2002-03. 100% of the donations go to the Military deployed in Iraq and Afghanistan directly. Items are sent to Battalion Chaplains and distributed to those in need. These bases are supplied by a roving PX (Store on wheels) that visits every 2 weeks. Often times, if you are the fourth or fifth base to be visited that day, the store is bare of the basic essentials. We provide but are not limited to the following items which are kept by the Chaplain. The personnel can come get them at no cost : soap, shampoo, conditioner, deodorant, foot powder, stuffits (boot deodorizers and moisture control), lotion, sun block, shave cream, razors, eye drops, nail clippers, socks, underwear, hats, gloves, snacks, powdered drink mixes, beef jerky and many other items. Note: Monetary donations are tax deductible as well as items donated. The contact is Joyce Kline. You can leave her a message at the church (610) 384-3553 or home (610) 380-1197. or email Joyce :
