Dave Lefurgey, Pastor
Rev. Dave Lefurgey has been pastor of Hudson Falls United Methodist Church since July, 2000. Besides pastoring churches in California and Kansas, Rev. Lefurgey has served two appointments in Troy Conference.
In addition to ministry, Pastor Dave has enjoyed ten-year careers in both the academic and corporate worlds.
He and his wife, Linda, minister together in vocal music and, in the past, traveled together in a musical ministry. They were recently the featured musicians and worship leaders at the Northeastern Jurisdictional School on Evangelism.
They have three grown children: Jonathan, Joel, and Jessica.
Eileen Hannay, Music Director
Eileen has been the music director at the Hudson Falls UMC since 1991. Eileen’s love of music led her to begin organ lessons at the age of 15. She assumed her first church organist role in the Gurn Springs Methodist Church when she was 16, often traveling with the pastor and playing for all three churches on his Sunday morning circuit.
Eileen received her Bachelor’s of Music degree from the Crane School of Music with a major concentration in voice and education. Since that time she has served as organist and choir director at many area churches while her children Erica and Scott were growing up. She has performed throughout the area as a soloist and with many choral groups, community theater companies and the Lake George Opera Festival.
Eileen is the manager of the Rogers Island Visitors Center in Fort Edward.
Jerry Mabb, Lay Pastor
A member of Hudson Falls UMC for 50 years, Jerry Mabb has served in many capacities: from Sunday school teacher to youth leader to chairman of Administrative Board. Jerry's love for God is evidenced in his love for ministry. He is a Certified Lay Speaker and supply pastor for Raceville UMC. Upon retirement following a successful business career, Jerry embraced the ministry of Lay Pastor at Hudson Falls UMC. His ministries include visitation, preaching, prayer leader, and pastoral support. He and his wife Bea are the proud parents of four grown children, ten grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. Jerry is the owner of a 1964 Thunderbird.
Sue Andrews, Secretary
The altar railings at Hudson Falls United Methodist Church hold special meaning to my life and to my faith journey. It was at its altar railings that:
  • I was baptized at age 16.
  • Became a member 38 years ago.
  • In Youth Fellowship met the man who would become my husband.
  • Married Steve 34 years ago.
  • Baptized our two children, Julie and Todd.
  • Witnessed the renewal of Steve's parents wedding vows on their 50th anniversary.
  • Watch our two grand daughters grow in faith and love of Jesus.
  • Soon to see our grandson dedicated on that same altar.
