Food Collection

We continue our year round food drive for non-perishable foods, which is given to the Inter-Faith Social Services in Quincy. The 'Ingathering' at Thanksgiving this past year was a success.

The winter isn't half over yet and the need for food for the hungry continues. Please put any food donations in the boxes or baskets near the end of the hallway to the right of Beach Hall (near the men's room).

Clothing Collection

Continues year round; children's , men's , women's winter clothing now being collected . Please place clothing in the hallway , near the men's room. It will be distributed to area shelter and clothing bank. The Shelter has nearly 900 guest each year, and this year will be no different. In the winter, the numbers increases for those in the shelters. Please search your closets and attic spaces for those garments that you have not worn in some time. In times like these, style is not the prime concern, keeping warm and healthy are the greater concerns.

Some of the guests are in the Transitional Living Unit, in preparation for getting a job and moving into their own apartment. The move from Transitional Living to an apartment brings additional challenges and needs. One of the challenges faced is the outfitting of an apartment. If you wish to donate any of the following items, it would be greatly appreciaed: clean or new sheets and pillowcases; pillows; blankets; afghans; comforters; and towels.

Please place all donated items in the large collection baskets located at the end of the hallway, along with your donations of children's , men's , and women's winter clothing. The shelters are most appreciative of any items donated.

Thank you, and God Bless you.
