Members and Friends of Heritage on email, welcome to an issue of the Heritage Herald Online. We send this message out on a regular basis to keep everyone informed of the activities of our church.

Prayer List: Bishop Peter Weaver,  DS Reverend Martin D. McLee,  church family and leaders,  Frances Lane, Jeannette Hawes,  Pat Thrall,  Joyce Saunders.

Also Eva Annis, recovering from having a pacemaker implanted; for Walter Erwin, back in the hospital with signs of congestive heart failure; for Myrna Jordan, having fallen and broken her hip, recovering at Braintree Rehab; and for Bob Johnson, who has wonderful news that his bone marrow transplant was successful.

Big Birthdays: JD Beaudoin- turned 18 this week. Other birthdays included Benjamin, grandson of Harold Randolph, and Dick and Betty Hardy’s granddaughter, who turned four this week.

Easter Flowers: Jo Clark is taking orders for the cross of Easter Lilies or for other spring plants to decorate our Easter altar on April 12. Plants are $12.00 see Jo as soon as possible to order.

Eagle Scout Project: Andrew MacDougall announced that his Eagle Scout project would be to renovate the outdoor sanctuary and play yard.  He began collections this Sunday, he need to collect around $800 for supplies and lumber. You can leave contributions in his collection jar, or mark a check in the offering plate for Eagle Scout Project.

United Methodist Women: Save the date of April 16. The UMW of Heritage will have a fun evening of flower arranging by Jo Clark. Open to all women of the church, the cost is $5.00 per person, and reservations are required. Call Dolly McDonough at 781-843-8961 to reserve a seat.

The District UMW spring gathering will be held on April 25 in Holbrook. For details, see Ethel Franks, a group of seven from our church already planning to attend. Join them for a day of fulfillment and fun.

Sunday School:  Save these dates – Annual Easter Egg Hunt and Easter Crafts, Saturday, April 11, 2009. Fee is $5.00 and includes egg hunt, crafts, and luncheon. Make your reservation by returning form or emailing Christine Tempesta at cjtempesta@msn.com

Also, family fun game night for April School vacation. Unplug your kids of all ages and join us on Friday, April 24, 2009. Mark your calendar now.

Celebrate Holy Week at Heritage! We welcome all to come to Heritage United Methodist Church and participate in the Holiest week of the Christian year. Join us, and bring your family and your friends. We look forward to worshipping together.

Thursday, April 9, 2009   Maundy Thursday – Service at 7:00 pm.
Humble yourself before God. Experience the forgiveness with which Jesus washed the feet of his disciples. Take part in Holy Communion.

Friday, April 10, 2009   Good Friday – Service at 7:00 pm
Feel the passion of Jesus Christ! Remember the sacrifice he made for you and visualize the Lamb of God in your life.

Saturday, April 11, 2009  for Children & Families, Easter Egg Hunt – 11:00 am
Children enjoy the annual hunt and learn about the resurrection of Jesus Christ through special crafts and stories.

Sunday, April 12, 2009, EASTER! – Service at 10:00 am
Celebrate the great Joy of resurrection! Worship, sing, listen to wonderful music that the choir has prepared for us, and receive communion. Lift up your heart and enter into renewed life!

 

Bible Study: Next week last of the Lenten Bible Study with a focus on fasting.  Join Pastor Smith at 9:00 am before services.

A Note from Jean Boardman: Dear Church Family: Words cannot begin to express my sincere thanks for the outpouring of Christian love on the occasion of my 90th birthday. To Dave and Jo Clark, Don Pace and their large committee, many, many thanks. Beach Hall looked beautiful with all of its decorations. My cake was also beautiful and delicious.
