Youth Group Meetings

Our young people's group meet approximately twice a month with scheduled fun activities during the year. Ages range from 13-21, (although there is no age limit to becoming a member!) There are also many opportunities to do volunteer work and interact with a diverse group of open-minded youth.

Boy Scout Troop 801

This troop is the second oldest troop in the East Bay and has been sponsored by First United Methodist Church for 87 years.  It meets at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday evenings and is open to all boys ages 11-17.

United Methodist Women

This mission education organization for all women meets at 10:00 a.m. on the first Thursday of each month.  Lessons relate to some aspect of the Church's worldwide mission.  Lunch is served at noon every other month. The next UMW Meeting will be May 7.

Membership Classes

These classes are held as needed for those who wish to explore joining the Church, committing their lives to Christ, or just want to know more about what it means to be a faithful Christian.

Confirmation

This is a membership class designed for youth in grades 7-10.  Assisted by mentors from the congregation, each class member will explore what it means to be a Christian, and will have the opportunity to make a commitment to Christ and the Church.
