Sunday School At the First United Methodist Church, we have a wide variety of educational programs to meet the needs of every age level. Sunday School classes include opportunities for:
Five adult classes offer a range of presentation styles from lecture to Bible study to contemporary issues and discussions. A week of Vacation Bible School is held each summer for the children. The van ministry provides transportation to our many activities. For more information, email us or call 352-481-3155 Library The library collection supports the educational program of the church, the spiritual growth and the Bible study of members, and the reading program of the United Methodist Women. Concordances, Bible atlases, Bible dictionaries, and other reference works are included in our collection. You can find books on personal and group devotions, program suggestions, cooking, self-help, church history, Christian life, parenting, Christian teaching, biography, and fiction. We have a small group of books for children and youth and some video and audio tapes. We also have an archive of past sermons on cassette. Our library is for the use of all church members and is self-service. Instructions are posted on checking out and returning materials. The library is located in the Education Building. |
