Sharon

Sharon Surrency has just completed a three year Fellowship in Executive Nursing Leadership with the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.  She was among 20 Senior Management nurses selected nationally for this program.  WOW!

Sharon graduated at a ceremony at the Franklin Institute in Philadelphia, PA on April 24th.  Congratulations and God bless you, Sharon!

Lyra

Lyra is a member of our church and is enrolled in the Santa Fe Community College’s Nursing Program.

She was born in Melrose and has had the privilege of living in many other countries, including Pakistan, Argentina, and Cameroon, because her parents, John and Kathy McGuire, were teachers in the American schools in those countries. She attended school in Hawthorne for a while. She has two brothers and a dog named Simone.

Lyra will graduate from SFCC as a Graduate Nurse on April 30 with a pinning ceremony at noon and graduation at 3:00. She will take her Nursing State Boards at which time she will then be a Registered Nurse. She already has a job at Shands UF in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit starting in June. She is engaged to Scott Surrency and they have a wedding planned for June 26, 2004. She and Scott will continue to live in the Hawthorne area.

Please join me in congratulating Lyra on her accomplishments in college and continue to keep her in your prayers. We are very proud of you, Lyra!
