Holy Communion
Did you know that we celebrate the Lord's Supper, Holy Communion, every Sunday? We celebrate the Lord's Supper as an entire congregation at both services of worship the first Sunday of the month, and we celebrate our Lord's Supper at 9:25 a.m. in our chapel every other Sunday of the month.
You are welcome to come and partake of the Lord's supper on any Sunday!
Service Sunday
The first Sunday of each month is Service Sunday in our congregation. We gather for a sandwich lunch in the Family Activity Center immediately after the 11:00 a.m. service of worship, then we pray and hear Scripture. Next, we go out into the community in service and witness. We take the Lord's Supper to those at the Laurel Oaks Nursing Home as well as to the shut-ins of our congregation, and we call on newcomers to our community to share with them the story of our church. We are usually finished with our activities by 2:30 p.m.
Everyone is invited and urged to take part in Service Sunday. It is our "lived out" discipleship; it is putting feet to what we say we believe. Will we see YOU on Service Sunday?
Wonderful Wednesdays
Wonderful Wednesdays are times of Fellowship, prayer, and Bible study for all ages. (Ask anyone who attends on a regular basis - they'll tell you that a big part of Wonderful Wednesdays is fun and laughter!)
Make plans now to be in the Conference Room of the Family Activity Center at church every Wednesday evening at 6:30 for fellowship, refreshments, and Bible study. We'll save a place for YOU!
