Sundays
Sunday worship and fellowship help form the core of the life
of the Harvard-Epworth community. By praying, singing, reflecting
on the sermon, and reconnecting as a community, we are renewed
for the challenges of living faithfully, fully engaged with
the world. |

9:00
Worship (during the school year, Sept. through mid-June)
Each Sunday at 9:00 a.m. worshippers gather for a service of holy communion.
The tone of the service is informal, offering participants a chance to
dialogue around the theme of the week. A light breakfast is served as
well.
11:00
Worship (10:00 in the summer)
The 11:00 service
is the larger of the two services, and is in the traditional Methodist
style. Weekly highlights include the sermon, children's message, special music sung by the
choir, and public celebrations and prayer concerns brought by members
of the community. After the 11:00 service there is a fellowship hour in
the church hall (Vestry).
Child
Care
Infant and toddler
care is provided in the nursery on Sunday mornings from 10:00 to 12:30.
The nursery is located in the basement of the church building, toward
the back of the Sunday School area.
Sunday
School
Sunday School for
all ages is taught at 10:00, downstairs in the church, during the regular
school year. The middle/high school class meets upstairs in the church office.
Adult
Forum
A special tradition
of Harvard-Epworth is the Adult Forum Sunday School class, which meets
in the church parlor, right off the front entrance to the church. The program
is stimulating and often provocative, ranging from Bible study to discussions
of how art, politics, and social action relate to our faith.
Adult Bible Class
The Adult Bible Class meets during the 10:00 Sunday School hour for discussion and study using United Methodist Bible Study curriculum. Each session is self-contained but focuses on a particular book of the Bible for an entire season. The class meets upstairs in the church hall (Vestry).
Children's
Church
After the Children's Message in the 11:00 worship service, the children are invited to go downstairs for Children's Church, which features informal activities, such as craft projects, singing, and play.
Korean
Mission Worship
Korean language services are conducted at 2:00pm on Sundays, 1:00pm in the summer.
