Harvard-Epworth
United Methodist Church

At the crossroads of the world's culture and faiths, Harvard-Epworth United Methodist Church has been in ministry in Harvard Square for over a century. We strive to provide an inclusive Christian witness to the city and university. We participate in the Reconciling Ministries Network, and welcome all people, regardless of race, gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, age, ability, marital status, or financial condition.

ZIMBABWE EMERGENCY FOOD COLLECTION

As the political and economic crisis in Zimbabwe grows more desperate, we invite all those who are interested to make a donation for a special emergency food aid collection for Inus Daneel and the families with whom he works.

Donations must be sent to Zimbabwe next week, so please bring cash or a check to Sunday's worship service. Checks can also be mailed to the church by Friday, July 11. Please note "Zimbabwe aid" on your check.

Dana Robert Daneel will be preaching on Sunday, 7/13 about the conditions there.

Here are some books that help to address the issue of homosexuality and Christian faith:

Walter Wink, ed., Homosexuality and Christian Faith

Robert L. Brawley, ed., Biblical Ethics & Homosexuality: Listening to Scripture

Peter Gomes, The Good Book
