At Hampton United Methodist Church ALL of the members are part of the staff. We believe that God has called us ALL to be a part of the Body of Christ. To live that out, we are active and involved in many different types of ministries, opportunities and events. Listed below are a few of them:
- Worship Services - 8:30, 9:45, and 11:00 AM on Sundays. (11:00 is traditional and formal); 8:30 is more relaxed and contemporary, 9:45 is a VERY relaxed and informal service where jeans and t-shirts are the dress, and the worship experience is designed for those who have'nt been to church for a while.
- Sunday School - classes for ALL ages from nursery to senior adults. (Classes are led by people like you. They range from lecture to discussion to hands on interaction to computer assisted).
- Bible Studies - held at various times and organized around various themes. (These studies include short-term, one-shot classes; long-term, long-range experiences; short-term, continuing small groups; and book studies).
- Children and Youth Ministries - programs for different age groups include choirs, Bible studies, outings, evening activities, mission trips, and much more.
- Parenting Classes - for those new to the experience or those experiencing the “empty nest” syndrome.
- Family Activities - for all types of families, including the church family of which we are all a part. Wednesday Night Fellowship Suppers--6:30 PM.
- Support Groups--Altzheimer's Group meets 2nd Tuesday of each month, Walker's Club meets three mornings per week at 6:00 AM., Alcoholics Anonymous meets each Friday at 8:00 PM.
- Cub Scouts & Girl Scouts meet here on Mondays and Tuesdays.
- Senior Adult Ministries - for those with time on their hands and a desire to travel, eat together, work together, etc.
- Music Ministries - for all types of music from Bach to Charles Wesley to Amy Grant, and for all types of instruments from classical organ to piano to keyboards and synthesizers.
- Special Worship Events—such as Easter, Christmas, Homecoming, Dinners-on-the-Grounds, Wednesday Night Fellowship Suppers, Baptisms, etc.
- Other Special Events—like picnics, outings, walk-a-thons, wiping the seats at the Atlanta Motor Speedway before the NASCAR races, and so much more.
