For Children
At Halethorpe-Relay United Methodist Church, children are special. In Jesus' own ministry, he welcomed the children with a special love. We provide many opportunities for your child to grow in faith in ways that respect their imagination and their need to play and have fun. Below, you will find some of the ways we include children in the life of the church.
Sunday School for Children
Each Sunday, 9:45-10:45, children gather for fun times of experience-based learning. With crafts, music, and storytelling, the stories of the Bible come alive. Our curriculum has been especially selected because of its positive messages presented in ways that children will truly find enjoyable. During the Summer months, we suspend the usual Sunday school program for a special offering for the children.
Vacation Bible School
Music, stories, crafts, games, and more! VBS is held daily for one week July 13-17, 9:30-11:30am, ages 4 years and up. Youth (13+) can serve as helpers. Adult helpers are needed to help with crafts, refreshments, and more.
Children’s Choir
Several times during the year, we offer opportunities for children to learn a song or two to offer during Sunday worship. It is always a wonderful experience for the church to hear the children sing of the love of God.
