LPI MISSION
TRIP UPDATE
We are
pleased to report that 29 adults and youth will be going on the LPI mission
trip to El Paso, Texas. The group will
leave after worship on June 1st and return on Saturday, June 7th. Due to a generous gift from the church and
the wonderful response to all the various fundraising projects, the group will
travel by chartered bus and be able to purchase supplies for the projects which
we will work on at the school. Any
additional gifts will be used for a special gift to the school from Grace Church. A big thank you to the Grace congregation
for their generosity in making this trip possible.
THANK YOU
FROM ROCKO
On behalf of Respite Outreach Care for
Kansans Organization, Inc., (ROCKO), I want to express our heartfelt
appreciation for your generous $226.45 donation. It was an honor and blessing to get to know members of Grace
United Methodist Church and to be the recipient of such a gracious gift that
will help children with disabilities and their families to find hope and
strength amidst the challenges of caregiving.
The compassion of your congregation is an inspiration, and continues to
bless us as some have dedicated their time in volunteering for ROCKO.
Sincerely,
Gina

IT’S MOWING
SEASON AGAIN
If you would like to help with the mowing
of the church grounds this spring or summer, please stop by the church office
and sign up for a date. There is a sign
up sheet located on the office door. We
have the month of June covered by a generous donation.
It’s Not Too Late to Register for Church Camp
Do you want to go to church camp this year? It’s not too late to register! In fact, you still have until May 15th
to get the $10 early-bird discount! AND
there are still some $50 church scholarships available.
Don’t pass up this opportunity to have a great time getting to
know God and some new friends.
THANK YOU
FROM THE YOUTH GROUP
The Youth Group would like to thank
everyone who donated supplies, baked desserts, prepared food, served food and
helped clean up after the First Sunday Lunch in April. Thank you also to everyone who came to eat
and made generous donations. The money
raised will help send the youth on the LPI Mission Trip in June.
SOUND
SYSTEM FUND
This fund is used to purchase new tapes, batteries, personal
amplified hearing aids, and other items as needed for the sound system.
Currently we have eight members of the congregation using the
amplified hearing aids during Sunday morning services. When an individual starts using one, it is
marked with that individual’s name and will only be used by them.
These amplified hearing aids cost $96.00 each, plus shipping,
which makes them about $99.00 each.
This fund is not a budget line item, and depends solely on
donations. If you would like to make a
donation to this important fund, please mark your donation for “Sound System”
in order for it to be put in the correct account. Any amount of donation would be appreciated.
