As I sit here listening to the rain, again, and
contemplating what to write, my mind keeps going back to my experience at Lydia
Patterson in El Paso. Everyone we met was in a state of
thankfulness. They would thank us for
being there, for the work we were doing, for being able to go to school, and
for the opportunity to teach or be a part of LPI. It has made me much more aware of everything around me that I am
so thankful for. May we each find
reasons to thank God for even those things we often don’t appreciate?
I want to thank everyone at Grace who
helped make the VBS in the Park a success, rain and all. To everyone who volunteered their time,
donated the many items required, or prayed for VBS—THANK YOU!!!

YOUTH EVENTS FOR JULY AND
AUGUST
Dates have been
set for the “Youth Get Togethers” for July and August, but they are flexible.
We are in need of adults willing to share some time with the youth in any type
of activity they might like. We want to
give our youth the opportunity to interact together since there is no summer
UMY. If you are available and would
like to get to know our youth better, please contact Kay or the church office
with your ideas. The following Sunday
dates have been set. July
13th, July 27th, and August 10th.
The college Send-Off and Blessing is
set for the August 3rd service.
We will honor our Grace UMC family members who will be heading out to a
college or university this fall.
