CUBA:
Three Faith
Perspectives, 1998 (29 Min) Produced by Rod Booth and the Berkeley
Studio (United Church of Canada). This colorful and intriguing video shows
in dramatic interviews how three Cuban Christians practice their faith in
the wake of the Cuban revolution. Ysel Pérez is a Methodist laywoman who
remained in Cuba after Castro came to power. The Rev. Carlos Ham-Stanard,
only two when the revolution began, is secretary of the Presbyterian
Reformed Church in Cuba. The Rev. Tony Ramos is now a Baptist professor in
Miami. Their stories lay to rest many myths and raise significant questions
for Christians in North America to ponder. A study guide is included.

traditional sources of Indonesian culture to help us understand it better.
Also looks at some of the difficult problems the country faces, such as the
status of East Timor. Though Indonesia is predominantly Muslim,
Christianity and other religions affect its culture and society. As
Indonesia rushes toward industrialization, it retains many of the features
of a post-industrial society, making a unique blend of old and new. Study

Russia with God's Love
1992 (60 Min)
After the fall
of Communism, many people were out of work and there was a scarcity of food
while there was a surge of spiritual growth. The Methodist churches have
worked as Ecumenical partners with other churches in Russia. Although the
Russian Orthodox church is the majority church, it did not have enough
resources to handle all humanitarian aide needed. UMCOR became the lead
agency for the Ecumenical group to dispense humanitarian aide. Russian
faith communities used lists of poor people (primarily elderly, single
parents & children, unemployed) to give UMCOR for dispensing aide.
Methodist churches in North America planned to make packages for shipping to
Russia for the Russia Project. [Promotional video for Russia Project]
