Guss offers you a warm welcome each Sunday morning and evening whether you are able to worship
with us at the church or view our broadcast on Channel 7. His
mission
minded, spiritual guidance is moving our congregation into ever more increasing outreach
opportunities. Whether he is telling a story to the children or delivering the message, Bro.
Guss is Christ lead and inspired.
Our Director of Music Ministry, Derry Brunt,
is a spark of light. He holds high the light of Christ in the
darkness with his caring and kindness. He gives all the honor
and glory to God when he shares his musical talent with all of
us. The third Thursday of each month is XYZ day and Derry makes
each one so very special. The children love coming to choir
practice just to see "Mr. Derry." (picture to be
added)
How happy we were when Jason Anding joined our
church staff as Youth Director. He brings with him a Christ
centered enthusiasm which is infectious along with a wonderful
sense of humor. How thankful we are to have Jason a part of our
church family.
Lynsie Willoughby, our Director of Children's
Ministries, does a great job working with our littlest
Methodists. She makes sure that they are steeped in the mission
of the church as well as planning fun filled adventures to
different destinations. The children love "Miss
Lynsie" and we do too. (picture to be added)
Our Church Secretary, Alicia Chaney, greets
you with a warm smile whenever you visit the church. Her hard
work and diligence has shown itself in our newsletter, the
"Glad Tidings," along with our worship bulletins. Her
smile shines the love of Christ to all who come to First UMC.
Jerry Dantone, Church Accountant, takes care
of the churches financial business with a smile. He makes sure
that the financial life of the church is maintained and we are
very thankful and blessed to have Jerry as part of our
staff.
Scott Crawford, our Facility Manager, never
has grass growing under his feet. From the beautifully manicured
grounds to the daily maintenance of such a historic building,
Scott sees that our church is taken care of. Our church wears a
smile due to Scott's care.
Our Lay Leader is Dwight Austin. Being Lay Leader is a job in
itself, but Dwight also works in our Television Ministry, works with our
computers, works wonders with the sound equipment at meetings and special
events. He always has a helping hand extended and welcomed smile.
