Rural Mission Team

Your mission team left on March 6th by various means and regrouped on Saturday at Christ St. Paul’s Episcopal Church.  We were met with open arms by our church family there.  Skip and Maryann Danforth joined us on Saturday and introduced us to Bernice and Ellabella Harrison - two very delightful ladies who soon became friends.

Bernice's house has had a leaky roof since 1993 and, as a result, had other issues that we had to deal with.  The roof was repaired with some of the best Yankee ingenuity that I have ever seen.

The team then went inside to the laundry room where the ceiling had been damaged and the electrical was not in good shape.  These were repaired and a new porch deck and stairs were  installed.

Ellabella's house also had a roof leak that was repaired.  Two porch decks and stairs were replaced and new light fixtures were put on the outside of the house.  Two new windows were installed and a new front door was put in.

Bernice and Ellabella were so grateful for our service to them they made us lunch on Friday and could not do enough.

I want to thank all team members for their hard work and dedication to serve; and I thank all of you for your support in this mission.
