Mission and Ministry: Women's Interfaith Book Club
Good evening, sister readers!
The 3rd annual Women's Interfaith Book Club will kick off Monday
September 8th at 7 p.m. at the home of Wanda Mertick. The goal
of our book club is to read fiction and nonfiction books that will
lead to discussion on matters of faith and inspiration.
On the 8th, we will select the books we will
read, one a month, for the months October through June. Bring
books (or titles and some info about them) for our consideration,
we'll partake of refreshments while we discuss the various
selections, and then we'll vote on them to see which ones we'll be
reading this year. Please let me know if you
plan to attend (e:mail or phone 692-2176). If you can't
attend, forward any suggestions you have to me for presentation at
the meeting. As in the past, feel free to pass the
information about our group to women you know as well
as include in the information in the bulletin or announcements
at your place of worship. Also, I am assuming the
Girls' Book Club will also resume. Question: do we
want the girls to make their selections for the year on the 8th as
well, rather than have them go month by month? I'm in favor of
this idea, but if anyone has another idea, please pass it along so
we know the plan for the 8th. I look forward to
hearing from you soon. Blessings, Wanda
