REVIVAL FIRE is ALIVE @ Gracewood!
The story of the Healing Revival @ Gracewood United Methodist
Church, November 17- 21, 1999
Preparation and Arrival of Craig Marsh and his team from New Zealand.
It was NOT unexpected, but sometimes these things can catch you off guard, and that is exactly what happened
during Gracewood's Healing Revival on November 17th through the 21st, 1999, with Pastor Craig Marsh. Craig is from
New Zealand, and is one whom God chose to heal from a fatal disease that was nearing the end stages.
We had a TENT REVIVAL this past summer, and everyone at Gracewood had been in prayer for revival since then. We
knew that there was a change in our church family. A greater sense of unity. A greater feeling of love and compassion
for all men. A stronger sense of urgency, and a real call to prayer and intercession.
We knew we were ready, and that "Something" was going to happen. We all prayed for Craig and his team,
and for a greater anointing on his calling. We were seething with anticipation!
He and his ministerial team from New Zealand arrived for the crusade amidst the prayers of the Gracewood people
who had already started to intercede for the anointing of the Holy Spirit to be on this Crusade. . His team consisted
of a couple, Estelle & Tony Rawlinson, and Craig's "Armor-Bearer", a very nice chap named John Benn. |

Craig Marsh: A blessed man.
His Testimony
Rev. Marsh came to the, "Light the Fire", Pastor's conference at Pine
Forest
UMC in Pensacola, on May 3rd, 1999. (Ron Fearneyhough, Tom Conway and other
North Georgia pastors were in attendance). Craig was terminal with only a
few weeks to live due to the return of stomach cancer. So weak that a lifelong
friend (John Benn) accompanied him to USA to carry his luggage and bury him
if death occurred before return to New Zealand. Craig's stomach had been
removed in three operations prior to 1993. All those years, he was taking 39
pills to help digest food & provide necessary vitamins. Greasy food would
cause him great pain and he would end up in hospital in coma with
convulsions. He therefore ate periodically due to the great pain.
An Anglican priest (Joe Steinberg) from England, requested that we have
prayer for Craig, because "he was going to die unless God worked a miracle."
For over four hours men and women prayed fervently for healing. AND God did!
Since Craig's miracle, he has been praying for the sick with signs and
healings following. Following his miracle Craig has ministered in England,
Australia, New Zealand, USA, and the Philippines. Many have been healed
physically, emotionally and spiritually.
Craig, his wife Jennie and two sons live in Auckland City, New Zealand.

of God's grace that manifested itself this whole year. The first TENT REVIVAL was held this past summer, and was

WHAT DOES THE BIBLE SAY ABOUT REVIVAL?

WHY DO WE PRAY FOR HEALING AND ANOINT WITH OIL?
God is a God of restoration. Restoration in spirit, soul, body. He brings wholeness mentally, relationally, socially,
spiritually and physically. A sign of the coming rule of Jesus Christ was healing and deliverance. Isaiah 61:1-2.
The preaching of the Good News by the disciples also included healing and deliverance. Luke 9:1-2. Psalm 103 Proclaims
the forgiveness of all sin and healing of all diseases.
"Is any sick among you? Let Him call for the elders of the church and let them pray over him, anointing him
with oil in the Name of the Lord." James 5:14
"and these signs will accompany those who believe:….They shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover."
Mark 16:18
WHY DO WE EMPHASIZE WORSHIP?
"It is written: Worship the Lord your God, and serve Him only." Matthew 4:10b
"Thou only are holy; for all nations shall come and worship before Thee for Thy judgements are made manifest."
(Revelation 15:4)
"Come, let us worship and bow down, let us kneel before the Lord our God our Maker." Psalm 95:6
"Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth,
for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. God is spirit and his worshipers must worship in spirit and
truth." John 4:23-24
WHY DO WE LIFT OUR HANDS?
The Psalms speak of lifting up holy hands in an attitude of surrender and worship. Over 50 times the Hebrew word
translated "praise" in the Psalms, means to extend the hands in praise.
"I will praise you as long as I live, and in your name I will lift up my hands." Psalm 63:4
"Lift up your hands in the sanctuary and bless the Lord." Ps. 134:2
"Let us lift our hearts and our hands and say to God," Lam. 3:41
"I want men everywhere to life up holy hands in prayer, without anger or disputing." 1Timothy 2:8
WHY DO WE CLAP HANDS AND DANCE BEFORE THE LORD?
"Clap your hands, all you nations; shout unto God with cries of joy." Psalm 47:1
"Let them praise his name with dancing and make music to him with tambourine and harp." Psalm 149:3
WHY ARE MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS USED IN WORSHIP?
Praise Him with the sound of the trumpet,
Praise Him with the harp and lyre,
Praise Him with the tambourine and dance,
Praise Him with stringed instruments and organs
Praise Him upon the clash of cymbals with resounding cymbals.
Let everything that has breath praise the Lord!" Psalm 150:3-6
WHY DO WE AUDIBLY PRAISE THE LORD?
Bless the Lord, O my soul; all my inmost being; praise His holy name. Psalm 103:1
Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth. Serve the Lord with gladness; come before Him with joyful songs. Psalm
100:1-2
Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise-the fruit of lips that confess
his name. Hebrews 15:13
They lifted up their voice to God in one accord. Acts 2:24
WHY DO WE ASK THAT ONLY MINISTRY TEAM MEMBERS PRAY FOR INDIVIDUALS?
We want this Crusade to be a safe place. Ministry team members are under the pastoral leadership of Gracewood United
Methodist Church.
Pastor Craig Marsh has brought a team of intercessors and prayer warriors from New Zealand. John Benn, David and
Ruth Price, Tony and Estelle Rawlinson.

A new SATURDAY Revival Service has been one direct result of this wonderful event. We all feel strongly that the Lord has
brought Revival and we seek to continue to minister to those who would seek the Lord and his tender mercies.
We also feel that we were changed. The entire church will never be the same, and for that we are very grateful.
We have experienced an outpouring of his love and we now want to extend an invitation to others. Come..... Join with us! Once you have experienced a movement
of the Holy Spirit, you also will be changed. Praise GOD!
