WALK TO EMMAUS
The "Walk to Emmaus" is a 72-hour experience. The weekend begins on Thursday evening and ends Sunday evening. At Emmaus you will spend three busy but very enjoyable and fulfilling days, usually at a retreat center, or as some communities do, at a local church that can facilitate such an event. God's grace personally through the prayers and acts of service of a living support community. Gracewood supports and participates in this mighty work of training up Christian leaders, so they can go back to their local churches, strengthened and renewed.

GRACEWOOD'S FOOD PANTRY
Gracewood United Methodist Church is proud to have a self-supporting Food Pantry. The Pantry has been open for the past six years, and is headed by a member of the church known to all as "Granny". Having been a victim of hunger during the Great Depression, helping others in need has always been on her heart. The Pantry is open one day a week and feeds, on average, five families each week. Through gracious donations from the church members, we are able to stretch our purchasing power by buying from Golden Harvest Food Bank. Whatever items the Pantry lacks is supplemented by generous members who also feel the calling. We thank the Lord for placing on the hearts of so many at Gracewood, to continue the support of the Pantry as one of its most valuable ministries. Granny has the opportunity to not only witness to the unchurched about God's love, but to put it into action, as we feed his sheep!
