Puppet Ministry

"Grace Notes "Nutz" Puppets"

Who can be a puppet? Any youth from fifth grade through eighth grade.
What is required? Since the puppets are also the Youth Choir, you will need to attend Choir Practice every Sunday afternoon from 6:00 - 7:00 p.m.
What if I'm not good enough? You are!!!!!
What if I can't sing? We believe that everybody can sing!  The Bible tells us to make a joyful noise...  THAT'S SINGING!!!!
How do I get a puppet? Become a member of The Grace Notes or as we are more popularly know as, The Grace Nutz, which is the name of our puppet group.  Each member decides what they would like to be and can even select their own puppet name.  Your puppet will be made especially for you.
How do I learn to operate my puppet? You will start with a small part and when we rehearse you will be taught to move the puppets mouth and arms to make it fit the lines you have to say and the music that will be sung.  As you become more familiar with your puppet your parts will become bigger.  It really is not difficult with a little bit of practice.
Why does the church have a puppet ministry? There are many different ways to tell people about God and sometimes it is easier to understand a certain lesson if it is presented as a story or in a play.  Jesus often used parables or stories when he taught.

We usually present our skits and music during the "children's time" of the service but out message is to everyone, young and old alike.

Another reason for having a puppet ministry is that it gives the youth of the church an opportunity to take an active part in the service and have a lot of fun at the same time.

As a part of our ministry we visit other churches, nursing homes, etc...

God Is Good.....   God Is Great.....    God is Yours.....
