Offering Counters Needed

The finance committee is looking for anyone interested in serving Grace by being an offering counter.  One counter is needed for the 4th Sunday of the month and 2 when there is a 5th Sunday.  Subs are also needed.  You need not be a member of Grace church, but must have been  attending worship on a regular basis for at least one year.  Contact Kim Bradshaw (586.749.9356) for details or call the church office.

Ushers and Candle Lighters Needed

Ushering is an important part of worship!  It is more than just greeting, handing out bulletins and receiving the offering.  We are in need of ushers (we will train you) for all services each month.  You can serve one Sunday a month (either service) or what ever your schedule permits.  See head usher Jim Cook for more information and to sign up.  Candle lighters are also need to assist in worship each week.

Attention All Knitters and Crocheters

We will be suspending monthly knitting workshops at this time.  Please continue to knit or crochet your prayer shawls, remembering to pray for needs, either general or specific.  Several shawls are now complete and await recipients.  If you know of someone who would like one of these, please let me know.

Next winter, I would like to present a prayer shawl to each one of MCREST guests as a reminder to them that we have prayed for them before they ever arrived and that we continue to pray for them after they have moved on.  We need approximately 25-30 shawls.  If you would like to partner with me in accomplishing this goal, please contact me at 586.725.6984 or by email.  Thank you for your continuing presence in this ministry.  Denise Lauland
