Missions

Following the Great Commission of Jesus to go into the world with Living Hope, our Mission Team identifies needy projects for our church family to participate in. These ministries range from food drives, Habitat for Humanity, Project Angel Tree Prison Ministry, and short-term Missions opportunities.

Gainesville Community Ministries- GCM is collecting school supplies to help local children with the things they need to begin school in the fall; pencils, paper, etc. They are also calling all dentists and dental assistants to donate one shift at a dental clinic August 25-29. As always, they need funds for emergency housing, medications and transportation.

Habitat for Humanity- The Methodist Habitat House is really coming along. At this time the house has a shingled roof, vinyl siding and work has begun on the interior. A big THANK YOU to those who helped on our June 28th workday. Anyone wishing to help can come to the home site at 2200 SE 45th Terrace off Hawthorne Road five moles east of the Tackle Shack any Saturday morning.
