The Reverend John Lewis, Sr.

John Lewis had served as assistant pastor for four years at three churches before being appointed as a part-time local pastor with the former Peniel United Methodist Church. He was appointed senior pastor of Haven Peniel UMC in July of 2002. Prior to formally answering his call to ministry Rev. Lewis had earned a certificate from Manna Bible Institute in Philadelphia and in 1994 he graduated with a BS degree from Geneva College in Beaver Falls, PA. Since then he has completed his studies at Lutheran Seminary in Philadelphia where he received an M Div in 2006. He is a Provisional Elder. Rev. Lewis is married to Norma Jean. They are the parents of three children and the grandparents of nine.
