Sunday September 7 |
10 a.m.: Worship. First day of Church School 2008-2009. Children will attend worship for the Recognition of our Church School Teachers and then be dismissed to their respective classrooms. Study Bibles will be presented to incoming third graders.
11 a.m.: Welcome Back Picnic: Join us on the Parsonage lawn for food and fun! Bring your favorite salad or dessert to share (enough to serve 8-10 people). Burgers and beverages will be provided. Tables and chairs will be set up. Call the church office at 410-433-6650 with questions or to volunteer with preparations.
4 p.m.: A Celebration of the new Baltimore Region of the Baltimore-Washington Conference of the United Methodist Church at Towson United Methodist Church. "A Hope with a Future: Making All Things New" an opportunity to reflect on the history of the newly formed Baltimore Region and its various districts over the years and to embrace our future with hope Worship service will include a message from Bishop John R. Schol, words from former Superintendents and Bishops, choirs and special music, and images of church buildings and ministries since the beginning. An offering will be taken for Hope for the City, our regional initiative to transform ministry in Baltimore City. Refreshments and fellowship following the service
Monday September 8 |
7 p.m.: Grace Church Book Club will discuss "Three Cups of Tea," by Greg Mortenson and David Oliver Relin. Call the church office at 410-433-6650 for more information.
Saturday September 13 |
5:30 p.m.: Crossroads Club annual hamburger fry. We will have a delicious dinner and then have a brainstorming session to determine our programs for the year. Please call the church office at 410-433-6650 to make reservations and to indicate if you will bring an appetizer, salad or dessert. This is always a time of fellowship, fun and good eating so be sure not to miss it.

Sunday September 14 |
10 a.m.: Worship. Special recognition of 50+ year members. Invitations have been sent to nearly 100 persons who have been members of Grace Church or one of its merged arms for 50 years or more to attend a service of recognition. A special Coffee Fellowship will follow the service. Theses members have been asked to submit a brief paragraph or so of reminiscence which will be compiled into a booklet to be distributed to the congregation that day and mailed to those longtermers unable to attend that morning. Please make plans to be here that morning.
