Christian Education
We offer a Christian Education program for children from nursery to middle school age. We share the love of Jesus Christ with the children while teaching them the Bible and nurturing their spiritual growth.

Vacation Bible School
We offer Vacation Bible School (VBS) and invite children in Malden and beyond to come share the good news of Jesus. A dedicated team of adults and youth give their time to help teach the children about the love they can find in Jesus. VBS provides fun and spiritual growth through fellowship, music, crafts, snacks, mission projects, games and Bible stories. Here are some pictures from 2009's Vacation Bible School.

Tween Team & Youth Group
We offer a tween team (grades 3-6) and a youth group (grades 7-12), designed to provide a fun environment in which youth can grow in Christian love and commitment. The youth group provides numerous activities, events and small groups to give kids a chance to learn, grow, strengthen their faith, and make friends.

Church Camps
As a member of the New England Conference, Good Shepherd UMC is connected to four church camps.

Camp Aldersgate, in Rhode Island, has over 200 acres of woods and trails and offers special experiences for children, youth, adults, families, and persons with
a variety of special needs, giving all the chance to grow in exciting and different ways.

Mechuwana, is located in Winthrop, Maine bordering Lake Annabessacook and Lower Narrows Pond. The camp provides a unique Christian setting for persons of all ages for personal growth and experiences to enhance one's relationship with God, neighbors, and the natural world.

The Rolling Ridge Conferencing and Retreat Center is located in North Andover, Massachusetts. It offers a special alternative to traditional camping programs, providing spiritual and personal growth through the special experiences of conferences, summer programs, day meetings and weekend retreats.

Wanakee United Methodist Center is located in the hills of central New Hampshire, along the shore of Lake Pemigewasset, in the town of Meredith. Wanakee is a Christian Adventure camp providing an eight week summer camping program to children and youth (4-18 yrs) emphasizing small groups designed to further growth in mind, body soul and strength.
