What’s Happening This Month at F.U.M.C., Goliad. Emmaus Gathering: January 18th 2008 at Port Lavaca FUMC Church. Men's Bible Study – Has just completed a great study of the Miracles of Jesus as recorded in John and will start back up after the first of the year. Women’s Bible Study – The Tuesday night Women's Bible Study will begin on Tuesday, January 15, 2007, at seven. The group will be studying the book, "The Jesus Priorities", along with the Bible. Child care will be provided. Ladies will meet in the Fellowship Hall and the study will be from 7:00-8:00 pm. Please join us in this study of Jesus and the Bible. Board of Trustees meeting: Monday, January 7th 7pm. (1st Monday of each month) Church Council : Next meeting Wednesday , January 9th 2007, 7pm in Le Master hall. Worship Committee – January 7, 2008 , (1st Monday of each month) , at 4 pm in Pastors office. Mission & Evangelism Committee: No meetings planned. (3rd Sunday of each month). Family Night Supper will be Wednesday , January 16th at 6:30 pm, Dinner will be hosted by Nelda Malone in Le Master hall. LOGOS-Be on the look out for new developments! Building Committee: The Church has approved the start of construction for the new Community Life Center! See building committee page for highlights. Finance Committee: No meeting planned. Staff Parish Relations Committee: No meetings planned. Special events this month Ladies Retreat - Slumber Falls Camp & Retreat Center, New Braunfels, Texas. January 25-27, 2008 - See Special Events page for details and registration. Music this Month: January 6 Communion Sunday January 13 Ensemble January 20 Sanctuary Choir January 27 Men's Chorus Sanctuary Choir Rehearsal: The Sanctuary Choir will practice Sundays, January 6th, 13th and 27th at 6 pm and on January 20th at 8:45 am.
