Winter 2001 Classes

(All classes meet the requirements for the Certificate of Discipleship)

Classes are free, except for materials. Workbooks may be purchased in class. Be sure to register at the Activity Booth during September. Child care is available Sundays 4-6 p.m. for children under two, and children ages three through grade five are encouraged to enroll in The Children's Academy or in Musical Theater.

Created to be God's Friend 
Sundays 4-6 p.m. 
Teacher: Pastor John McFarland

Overview: This class centers on developing a love relationship with God, understanding His will, recognizing when He is at work around you, and joining Him in the work that He is already doing. It is the sequel to Experiencing God.

Becoming a Contagious Christian
Sunday 4 - 6pm.

Teacher: Mike Whitmore/Perry Morris

Overview: gives believers inspirational teaching and practical instruction in sharing the gospel. Class members will study the Great Commission and the early Church's mission to the world as a foundation for evangelism. Participants will learn the essentials of witnessing the need for sharing the gospel, and how to share their testimonies.

Homes of Honor

Sunday: 4-6pm

Teacher: Pastor Bob Satterfield

Overview: Gary Smaley's material on healthy marriages will be combined with Pastor Bob's counseling experience.  This is a popular class which provides fellowship time for married couples.

SPIRITUAL WARFARE

 Sunday, 1st Service

Teacher: Jerry Smith

Overview:  uses video and workbook materials to help participants take steps to spiritual freedom and personal growth. 

The Best Class

Sunday 2nd Service 
Teacher: Dan and Cheryl Best

Overview: Study through certain Bible books, currently in the book of Nehemiah.  Another Old Testament Book will be chosen after they finish Nehemiah.

Missions
Sunday 2nd Service 
Teacher: Pastor Ken Nehrbass.

Overview: The purpose of missions, and how to do it in the 21st Century.  How to be a support of missionaries.
