Apologetic/Evangelism Support Group: Chuck Schussman is starting a new group on the second Sunday of each month, from 7-9pm where he hopes 3 things will happen: (1) instruction on how to articulate a specific biblical doctrine (say, salvation by grace alone); (2) discussion of apologetic/evangelistic encounters from the past month, with follow up support discussion; (3) instruction about specific cultic group or belief. So plan on coming today, May 11, in room 205.

One Day Women's Retreat: “His Banner Over Me Is Love” – this Saturday, May 17th from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM in the Fellowship Hall at First United Methodist Church of Huntington Beach – 2721 Delaware Street – HB, CA 92648

Shelter for the Homeless Interfaith Project: The SHIP is docking at FVUMC from May 17 – May 31! Captain Joan and crew (Marilynn, Joan, and Robin) encourage you to support the mates by bringing breakfast/lunch items, a nightly dinner, and/or volunteering to supervise overnight or on the weekend/Memorial Day holiday. Sign up now…before the SHIP sets sail!

Church Talent Show: On Sunday evening, May 25 at 5pm our church will enjoy a talent show. If you would like to perform, please let Pastor Tim know. A potluck dinner will be enjoyed before the show.

Youth Choir Concert: On Saturday evening, June 14, our youth choir will be performing several songs. Aaron Mosely, Tenor, and Mindy Kim, Soprano, will offer us wonderful solo music.

Ashram Family Camp – August 9 – 15: If you’ve never attended a Sierra Christian Ashram you are in for a treat! The week is a family camp experience, with focus on fellowship, inspiring messages and prayer. Please pray about attending this wonderful worship and fellowship opportunity.
