Welcome to First United Methodist Church of Valdese, North Carolina.

If this is your first time to visit our church here are some things you might want to know:

Worship style:

The Worship Celebration starts at 10:55am every Sunday morning. We have a blended service of classic United Methodist worship with creeds, liturgy and hymns as well as contemporary elements of praise music with a band, power point projection and messages for life in the world today.

What to wear:

Come as you are. You'll find people in jeans and suits, t-shirts and blouses, shorts and dresses, flip-flops and dress shoes. It doesn't matter what you look like, just so you're here.

Nursery care:

Our nursery is located on the bottom floor of the education wing. It is the room closest to the parking lot and the playground. Our nursery volunteers will care for your infant with love and concern. There are caregivers available from 9:20am until 12:00pm.

Handicap

accessibility:

We have handicapped parking spaces in our parking lot as well as a ramp to get wheelchairs into the sanctuary. We have 2 wheelchair seating sections in the sanctuary.

Communion:

We offer the sacrament of communion on the first Sunday of the month along with healing stations for laying on of hands and healing prayer.

Offering:

Offering is received from members in glory and thanksgiving to God and for continuing His work throughout the Kingdom of God.
