For 5 days, our lives were regimented.
In 5 days’ time, our lives were changed, forever.

I met Christ last week.
It wasn't in a manger.
I met Christ last week in a far off place, Slidell, Louisiana.
It wasn't in Bethlehem.
I met Christ in one who set the table of plenty.
It wasn't in a precisely set Communion table1.

The FUMC Men's group usually meets on the second Saturday of the month at 7:30a.m. We invite all men to join us.

Women's Group

This group is open to all women and friends of the First United Methodist Church. Our purpose is to be disciples of Jesus by developing a creative, supportive fellowship as we address spiritual and social issues through our service to God. We support and maintain various mission projects with a special focus on children and family ministries.

Some of our many projects include adopting families at Christmas, supporting youth and children through DCF funding, sponsoring children's activities such as the Easter Egg Hunt and camp scholarships, providing "container showers" for those giving birth or getting married, providing cards, gifts, and prayers in time of need, sponsoring the Men's Ecumenical Communion Breakfast and the church picnic, hosting our anual Church Mouse Market in November, and responding to various needs of our church and comunity as they arise.
Our women's group is very acttive by sharing our service, gifts & talents, financial resources, and our love of Jesus.
Everyone is welcome to attend our meetings which are generally held on the second Saturday of each month. They are held in Fellowship Hall and begin at 9:15 am.

Mom to Mom

Our Mission

Our mission is to educate, encourage, and equip women for the most important, yet toughest job in the world — parenting. Through practical, biblically based teaching on parenting and through supportive interaction in small groups led by experienced mothers, we wish to foster growth, not only in our parenting skills, but in our wholeness as women.

Who We Are

We are women from different backgrounds seeking a Christian repsonse by which we can guide our children in today's world. Though at various stages of parenting, we share a common desire to grow as women and mothers.
